walking model of the solar system
Attached is a lab in which a scale model (both in terms of distance between the planets and size of the planets) of the Solar System is made in the school's halls.

Angle of Insolation
Design and discover the reason for the seasons!

Geometry of Space
Investigate strange geometric properties of the universe by making and using a M'bius strip.

The H-R Diagram
Students can use Microsoft Excel to discover the properties of stars. How are stars classified?

Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram
Plot stars on a graph and find out what Ejnar Hertzsprung and Henry Russell showed the world.

Hertzspring-Russell Blank Diagram / Graph
Blank HR graph.

Lunar Lolipops
The physical shape of the Moon never changes; it is always a sphere. What changes is the portion of the Moon that can be seen from Earth. Half the moon is always illuminated by the Sun.

Model of the Planets
If one is to appreciate the sizes of the inner planet versus the outer planet, it is necessary to make scale models of the planets.

Moon Motions
Even though the moon does not appear to turn on its own axis from the Earth?s point of view, it is indeed rotating as it revolves around the Earth. In the following activity, you will investigate the actual and apparent motions of the moon.

Parallax Lab
